High School Senior Rep Program!!! | Fayetteville Stedman NC Senior Portrait Photography

We have officially started accepting Senior Rep Models for the class of 2011 from all high schools in Cumberland County. We will be accepting up to 2 models from each school and are looking for both guys and girls. So, don’t be shy guys! We know you like having pictures of yourself too! Because we are only accepting 2 models from each school, spaces are limited and not everyone who responds will be accepted as a rep. So, don’t wait!

Now for the frequently asked questions about the program..

What is a Senior Rep Model?

They are spokes models that help promote Gracie James Photography with their own gorgeous portraits. You’re going to tell your friends about how amazing your experience was anyway, so why not earn some credits towards photos while you’re at it? An ideal senior rep model has lots of friends and is a very outgoing and energetic person. We need reps who are going to create a buzz about us and who are going to have lots of friends to tell about it! Please only submit emails if you are serious about this.

What do Rep Models Do?

We are not asking you to be a sales person… your photos are going to sell themselves. We are asking you to simply tell all of your friends about us and show off your pictures! Create a buzz about our photography. It’s simple really. The more friends you get to come get their senior portraits with us, the more free stuff you’ll get. We also have great incentives for the people you refer, so it’s a win-win.

What do I receive for being a Rep Model?

- Complimentary photo shoot ($125.00 value). The session will last up to 3 hours. It's your chance to shine and be a super model for the day!

-We will arrange an appointment for you with a cosmetologist to have your make-up professionally done for the shoot!

-10 web resolution images to use on your Facebook and Myspace pages.

-50 senior rep model cards with your images on them. (These are what you’ll hand out to all of your friends to get them to come get their senior portraits done with us)

-$30.00 print credit for every senior you refer who books a session with Gracie James Photography. There is no limit on how much you can earn, most senior reps will get an entire senior package for free from referring people.

If you have 15 friends who book a session…you not only get the $30.00 print credit for each friend (adding up to $450.00). But on top of that you’ll get our ULTIMATE reward…..

This was my first wedding of the year and I am SO excited for all that is to come! I was a little nervous, only because it has been quite a few months since my last wedding, but what a great day it was! Angie and Derrell are so cute together and all their guests were so obviously happy for them. My face was almost hurting from smiling so much when I got home from this one. It was a perfect wedding on a perfectly beautiful day!

My sister, Heather, is a cosmetologist and last Tuesday, she came over to help with getting my beautiful bride, Katie, ready for her bridal shoot! Before Katie arrived, we had a few minutes, so we did a couple of shots of her beside by shrubs, that just happened to match her dress perfectly! :) I told her she should be a model, she is so photogenic... I put her in front of my camera pretty much every chance I get. :)

Kym and Joe are the kind of couple who give you hope that true love is possible. These two could not stop giggling and gazing at each other. Amy and I have been best friends since middle school. And we've ALWAYS wanted little girls of our own. Well, last Saturday, her dream came true and her perfect little BrinkleyAnne was born! She is such a precious, perfect little princess. Her room is a dream and her parents are so in love with her that it just radiates from them. I'm so glad I got to capture her during the first week of her life. I can't wait to watch her grow up! :)

Katie and Jamie got engaged at the Botanical Gardens, so we returned there yesterday to do their engagement pictures. As soon as we arrived, however, the rain started falling, so we were postponed until today. Thank goodness they were available! :) They are the sweetest, most adorable couple, I love watching them interact. I had so many ideas and they were so kind to oblige my requests... even on the sopping wet, muddy ground. Thanks, guys, you were awesome! I am SO glad Mrs. Lee Jackson emailed me back in September for family pictures. This family was so much fun! Full of giggles and beautiful smiles. These children were so well-mannered and have the sweetest little spirits. I sat with little Reid while everyone was changing for round two of our shoot and he told me all about their recent trip to Disney World. This is part of the reason I love photography so much... getting to meet wonderful people that I might otherwise have never known!

A Charitable Saturday Night at Fox Hollow

The air was crisp, the tent was strung with twinkle lights, the wine was flowing, and the atmosphere was full of chatter and laughter. This is the first charity event I've ever attended and it had such an impact on my heart and soul. I truly hope some amazing things happen for the wonderful children who were the reason for this fun event. I met many wonderful people and I look forward to seeing them at many similar events in the future!

I attended this sweet boy's birth in Wilmington just ten short days ago and because I experienced the miracle of him entering the world, he will forever hold a piece of my heart. I've been anxiously awaiting this family's portrait session. We had to reschedule twice, once due to scheduling conflicts and once due to weather, so it was great when we finally met up! :)

And aren't they absolutely gorgeous? The best part is that they are just as beautiful on the inside. They were full of beautiful smiles and the kids were so cooperative and willing to do anything I asked.. short of holding hands. That was WAY too gross!

They're a truly wonderful family, I can't wait to work with them again! :)

The Birth of August

Last Friday, a wonderful friend of mine invited me to be a part of one of the most special days of her life. The birth of her fifth and final baby, August Lyn. It was such a special day, as I love everything that involves babies. I love pregnancy, I love the birth.. I love it all! So, to spend this day with Jessica and her hubby, Austin, was magical for me.

It's a GIRL!!!

This gorgeous pregnant lady is one of my best friends on the planet, Amy. And she's pregnant with her second baby, which she has insisted from day one was a GIRL. I, for one, was quite scared of the possibility of this baby being a boy, because she was so adamant that it was a girl.

Well, lo and behold, this sweet little one is in fact a GIRL!!! :) And this was a little shoot we did to commemorate this sweet morsel's entrance into her mommy's life. Amy has wanted a girl, just as I have since WE were little girls and so it is going to be so wonderful to share this journey of being mothers to little clones of us as we watch our daughters grow into women.

The Nichols Family

Once upon a time, in what now seems like another life, I was a teacher. I really liked that job. My very first year of teaching, I taught fourth grade and my most studious, focused student was Drew. Drew is now in ELEVENTH grade (yikes, that makes a girl feel old) and he's practically a man! This is Drew's family and they are one amazing family. So much fun and so willing to do anything that popped into my little head. :) I had a blast working with them and I already can't wait to work with them again!

I travelled to Jacksonville yesterday to photograph one of my very best friends, Amber's brand new baby boy... and to see her, of course. :) Baby Evan is such a yummy little man, he was very cooperative with us, especially as long as we kept him nice and toasty. We were roasting in there and he was just as happy as he could be. And we were even able to get some sleepy pictures, even though he was super alert. Especially for one who is only 13 days old! He wanted to make sure he knew what was going on most of the time... until we got him nice and toasty again and then.. he'd pass right out! :) I absolutely fell in love with him and can't wait to do more when he's a little bit older! Okay, so sorry for the huge amount of pictures, but let's face it.... I think these two are so preciously adorable that I have a very difficult time narrowing it down. So, there ya go! Lotsa pictures! :)

Oh, and there are a lot more of Noah in this blog than Emma, but that's because Emma just had her very own photo shoot the other day, so I was a little more focused on trying to get some good shots of Noah. This proves to be a very difficult task being his age and he seemed to think I had gone mad for making him sit still and saying his name a thousand times to get his attention. Anyway, it is what it is... the ones of them together aren't as perfect as I was hoping for, but they are very perfectly imperfect. :) It's a good thing I actually prefer perfectly imperfect.

My beautiful, sweet girl started PreK-4 yesterday and I am so proud of her! She is such a smart, kindhearted little lady and I just couldn't hope for more! So, to honor her, she had a princess afternoon where she got to dress up and pose and have it be all about her! :) She loved every minute of it. Her favorite part was that since she smiled so beautifully inspite of the heat, she got to eat strawberry ice cream BEFORE dinner. ;)

Isaak's First Birthday

Last Saturday we went to Jacksonville to attend sweet little Isaak's first birthday party. You will see that the kids had an absolute blast. Noah and Isaak are so cute together and Emma just loved having all those great kids to play with. And it was so nice for me to get to be around friends my age and meet some wonderful new friends. I'm so thankful for great people like these in my life! :)

Arnold Wedding

The wedding of Johnny and Maura was definitely the most heartfelt, sincere wedding I've ever attended. It ended up being such a beautiful, perfect day. Earlier in the day as I travled to Darlington, I was really worried about it being ruined by the dark, stormy clouds that were stalking the sky, but as the hour of the wedding approached, the sky cleared and beautiful sun rays poured through the clouds. Perfect.

The colors were bright and beautiful, the pool sparkled blue, and five rings were exchanged. The only members of the wedding party were members of the family that was being bonded. Johnny, Maura, and their three gorgeous girls. Johnny and Maura had self-written vows for one another as well as vows to their girls. I felt so blessed to be a part of such an amazing day!

This collection of pictures is only a very small portion of what was captured, but I wanted to give them a sampling of their wedding day memories. :) There will be many more for you later, Johnny and Maura, but I hope the ones shown here make you smile. :)

Today was such a gorgeous day, I just put the camera in the car and drove to find some cool sites.

I LOVE this swamp! So mysteriously beautiful....

We have so many cool old shanties like this out in the country... gotta love them!

I've always thought this church in downtown Fayetteville was absolutely gorgeous. Maybe I'll get to shoot a wedding there someday!

And the sky was the perfect shade of blue....
